VAGRANTS steal because of need. Usually , they take food, money, alcoholic beverages, tobacco and clothing for personal use. Often the vagrant is under the influence of alcohol and is usually a hit-and-run type.

a) Is entering your property worthwhile in the first place?
Do you have cash or any items of value which can be readily sold? If cash is held on the premises is it kept locked up at all times or do you make it easy for a would be thief by leaving a container containing money open on the office desk.
b) If one enters your premises and went into your office would one feel uneasy ?- or would the intruder feel relaxed and not know what to take first?

Are all outside doors fitted with adequate locks to stop an intruder?
What about windows where valuable items are stored- Do you have window locks. Do you need them?
Do you leave cash lying about --not locked away in a safe?
Are items of value left in vulnerable positions? ie where they can be easily removed ?
DO YOU HAVE AN INVENTORY OF ITEMS?
In the event of having to claim on your insurance policy would you be able to furnish a list of the precise items lost or stolen?
It is therefore helpful if not essential for you to keep an up to date list of all your assets, sufficient to make a claim in the event of disaster.
